National City Bank complaint by Kclegg47
We have both a joint personal account and a business account with National City. We, also, have accounts with Bank of America and a former account with Fidelity Federal. We never had problems with these other banks. National City's online accounts are not "real" time. They post debits and then they disappear for 2 - 5 days. One never knows what their real balance is (never a problem with Fidelity Federal of Bank of America). This is purposely done to maximize their overdraft fees. We, also, have credit card processing through Merchant Bank. We will process credit card transactions, get a confirmation of "account settled" at the same time for these transactions, then National City will process these days apart.

Bank Regulators need to be contacted on every problem. We have the necessary paperwork from Merchant Bank to file a complaint. National City cannot arbitrarily process these transactions. Needless to say, we are transferring to a reputable bank.
